Broker's Comments

This is a great looking converted fishing trawler, fresh from a dry dock maintenance period, which included much underwater/hull work. Load line length 22.8m

She comes with lots of history and is a vessel that could be adapted for many uses, offering up plenty of flexibility on her upper deck and great accommodation for 15 people in nicely finished cabins.

Future options may include live aboard, bed and breakfast, floatel, dive support, expedition support, office space - the list is endless!

Here's what her owner told us:

Very attractive, 15 berth, converted fishing trawler. Completely rebuilt with hundreds of thousands spent in the early 2000s to add an additional deck and to raise the bridge a level. Recent refurbishment and extensive insulation took place 2 years ago in preparation for whale watching and diving expeditions off the Norwegian and Islandic coastlines.

The boat can be skippered commercially up to 20 miles from safe haven in UK waters with a commercially endorsed Advanced Power Boat qualification (3 miles with Power Boat Level 2) - see Annex 3 of the MCA’s MGN280 guidelines. An Off-shore Yachtmaster, Ocean Yachtmaster or MCA Boatmaster qualification is required to skipper the boat commercially up to 60 miles from safe haven.

Fuel usage is very economic at approximately 50-70 litres per hour with an 8.5 knots cruising speed. The boat can hold in excess of 16,000 litres of fuel and with 4 tonnes fresh water storage, 5.4 tonnes for shower water and 1.2 tonnes black water, this boat can go a long way without stopping. She is strong and designed for force 8+ gales.

In the past she was used as a dive boat - she has a compressor on board and a dive lift, she was used for charity challenges and has previously supported a list of celebrities including Richard Branson and his Virgin team to swim from Holyhead to Dublin. She also provided safety support cover for kayaking in 2014 when the Beeline Britain team completed the first ever straight-line journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats and has been used by ITV to film documentaries about Britain’s sharks and whales. Most recently she was run as a bed and breakfast hotel in Kinsale, Southern Ireland before travelling to Gosport and then Shoreham, UK where she is currently in dry dock.

This boat is also currently available for charter.
